André is one of the few sagners of the Camargue. You can visit his workshop and see him make a reed doormant. These mats are used to cover the arbours and roofs of houses of the gardians.
Reed beds are marshes that reeds occupy almost all. "Closed" marshes, some cover several hundred hectares in one piece around the pond of Scamandre and Charnier.
Services: Short tour (3h and more): On the outdoor site of Vauvert, making a reed package with demonstration of the cutting machine. On the site of Aimargues, in workshop, manual demonstration of the machine to manufacture the Doormat (unique, patented).
Capacity: groups from 6 to 40 people.
