Nicole Bousquet's introduction to painting began in her childhood. Painting was a refuge. As soon as she was old enough to leave home, she stopped.
"Painting was relegated to a box in my brain, locked away with my painful childhood memories where I found shelter in the middle of dark forests that I invented on my canvases" Nicole Bousquet.
