Meeting the Camargue horse
A unique and authentic experience in a family atmosphere in the heart of the Gard Camargue . Come and meet the emblematic horses of the Camargue in the magnificent Cailar meadows on the Poulan site.
The Manade Puig was created in 1928 and for 4 generations has perpetuated tradition and modernity.
The oldest breeding produces multidisciplinary horses while preserving their rusticity and authenticity .
Public reception
Discovery of a Camargue horse farm
Every Tuesday in June, July, and August at 6:00 p.m. Starting June 17, 2025.
(by reservation until Tuesday 12:00 p.m.).
Unfolding:
Participants will be welcomed 5 minutes beforehand.
Start of activity:
- Gathering of mares in the pasture by the herdsmen
- Presentation of the manade - meeting with the Camargue horse
- Explanation of Camargue harnessing, dress and traditions
- Demonstration of a guardian game
- Tasting of local products
Duration, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes
Welcome for groups from May to September from 30 people.
