The southernmost property in the Rhône Valley, the Scamandre Vineyard, has been Created in 2002 by Franck and Nadine Renouard . Located in the heart of a protected natural area bordering the Scamandre pond, the estate covers 20 hectares and embodies a modern, responsible and environmentally conscious vision.
Having converted to organic farming in 2007 , Domaine Scamandre is committed to an exemplary approach to sustainable development. As early as 2010, a pioneering agroforestry program was launched, with the planting of more than 1000 trees and shrubs within the vineyards and around their perimeters, promoting biodiversity and soil balance.
The best thing about the area:
The manual harvesting testifies to the care given to each bunch, with a deep respect for the fruit and the terroir. Agroecology is the true guiding principle of the estate: here, every action is guided by the search for a balance between nature and viticulture.
The Scamandre Vineyard produces wines in all three colors, including an iconic red renowned for its elegance and complexity, featured on the tables of many starred chefs.
Reception of the public
By appointment only from January 2nd to December 22nd.
Visits, tastings and picnics in the vineyards.
Room available for hire. Groups of up to 80 people.
